US Navy Method
This calculator uses the US Navy circumference method to estimate body fat percentage. This method uses body circumference measurements and height to estimate body fat percentage.

How to Measure
- Neck: Measure just below the larynx (Adam's apple) with the tape sloping slightly downward to the front.
- Waist: Measure at the narrowest point, usually just above the belly button.
- Hip: (Women only) Measure at the widest point around the buttocks.
Limitations
While the US Navy method is convenient, it's not as accurate as methods like DEXA scans or hydrostatic weighing. It provides an estimate that is generally within 3-4% of more accurate methods.
